Hotspot setup website

The website opened after joining Bard’s hotspot. The form uses sample networks and never sends credentials. After submitting, Bard shows a matching connection progress page.

Sounds

Regular alarms ring with alternating notes. Wake-up alarms have a gentle rising chime and a two-minute sunrise. Pomodoro has a bright three-note bell; reminders use a soft two-note chime. Assistant listening starts silently. The error tone is a design sample.

Interaction rules

Menu: volume keys slide horizontally between large cards; power opens the centered card. Record: power stops and saves. Assistant: Live starts listening on entry and detects speech automatically; power pauses / resumes and double-click exits. Dictation uses power to start / end listening. Playback: power pauses. Double-click returns home. Results clear after four seconds.

LED language

Recording: all three left LEDs react to microphone level in red. Listening: the three left LEDs react across blue and green. Thinking: a multicolor glow sweeps back and forth along the three bottom LEDs. Speaking: the three right LEDs react across violet and pink. Upload: green progress. Setup and pairing: a broad cyan glow travels continuously, with neighboring LEDs fading together. Setup brightness: 5%, LCD: 100%. LED brightness: 0–100%, default 60%. Errors: two amber pulses. Volume: white LEDs fill around the perimeter for two seconds. Menu: bottom-center light matches the selected action at 10% brightness.

Alarms, reminders & todos

Three main-menu cards. Volume keys browse entries; press toggles an alarm/reminder or completes a todo. Double-click returns home. Assistant Live and Dictation can list, create, edit and delete by ID. Up to 24 entries total, saved in device flash. One-time alarms and reminders wake the screen even in low power, pulse all eight LEDs and sound a soft chime when audio is idle. Dismiss with power; alerts time out after 60 seconds. Recurring schedules and cloud sync are not supported.

Settings & reset rules

Settings uses the same horizontal cards as the main menu: Info (including Credits) · Restart · Factory reset · Clear recordings · Format SD · Hard reset · Wi-Fi · Bluetooth · LEDs · Display · Low power. Factory reset clears Wi-Fi, pairing and organizer entries while preserving device identity and recordings. Clear recordings deletes local Bard files; Format SD erases the whole card. Hard reset erases the SD card and all saved settings, including identity. Uploaded recordings remain on the server. Cancel is selected on entry. Sync must be idle and the phone disconnected before maintenance.

Low power: Off / On / Auto (20% battery, restores above 25% or while charging). After 15 seconds idle, display and radios turn off. The first button press wakes without acting. Recording continues with voice-reactive red LEDs at 5%. Setup, Torch, playback, transfers and assistant sessions stay awake.
